Old school bar with a great classic atmosphere. Good beer choices. Attentive service but not overly friendly. We shared a potstickers appetizer (good) and split a cheesesteak (meh). Cheesesteak was steak tips, not sliced beef. A little dry. Love the Presidential theme.
Founding Fathers is filled with US History memorabilia, and its owner/bartender is super personable and knowledgeable on all things historical. I would classify it as a dive bar, good ambiance and not too loud, easy to talk to others while there. The food is like sophisticated bar food. Inventive sandwiches and sides. I believe they still do trivia night, very cool. Mike the bartender keeps everyone entertained with trivia on pop culture, history, and his witty conversation. Highly recommended!

Really good bar service and the French Onion Soup was solid. I really enjoyed the Fried Bologna Sandwich as well. Bartender was basically an encyclopedia for Presidential history and great conversation starter. Would definitely drop in here for a beer and food!

Founding Fathers is great. Low key, awesome environment boosted by an eclectic collection of presidential memorabilia. Trivia nights are unbeatable and during a quieter time the owner will even fire some US history trivia from behind the bar.
One of the best bars you'll ever go to. Cheap drinks ($6 pints, $6.50 bourbon on the rocks), the sandwiches are big and worth the $11, the ambience is great and the bartender, Michael, will wow you with his stories.
I came here a few times in my college days. The place is small, grimy and salty. There is ton of American history to be found here. This was overall my favorite bar in Buffalo. I wish I was able to come more in those days.
